Spend a little time getting to know Katelyn with this Q&A:
About Katelyn
My husband and I have 2 little children and a 100lb goldendoodle, aptly named Rembrandt after my favorite Dutch artist. When not chasing my kids or working, I also enjoy spending time outside, reading, and eating.
What are you most excited about at HAAC?
HAAC has already touched so many lives through the classes, exhibits, and other programming offered through the years. I am so excited to join a team with so many ieas on how to spread creativity around the Lakeshore!
Why did you decide to work at the HAAC?
I have personally experienced the way that art and creativity can heal your mind and soul. I fully stand behind the mission and work of HAAC and I have experience that can help us continue to thrive.
What is your vision for the HAAC?
We plan to continue to work with the board, staff, and community to spread creativity and the arts to everyone in Holland. I believe that art is healing, that it helps your brain, and that it connects you to others. I think everyone should have access to that power. Furthermore, to provide more supportive services for professional artists and a vibrant art community.
The arts council is a a place where creativity becomes connection, where people gather to make, learn, and remember that imagination is a powerful force for hope.
