TINY Art Night
The Holland Area Arts Council is excited to invite the community to a special reception celebrating the official launch of our two newest interactive installations: the Art Bos Vending Machine and the TINY Free Art Gallery. Join us on Thursday, April 17th, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Arts Council for an evening of tiny masterpieces. These additions represent an exciting new way to expand our exhibits and share the joy of local art with the wider community.
While the reception marks these installations official debut, these are ongoing exhibitions that belong to the public. We are actively seeking art submissions and contributions from artists of all ages and backgrounds to keep these spaces vibrant and ever-changing. Whether you are a professional artist or a local hobbyist, we invite you to participate in this living gallery experience.
If you are interested in joining the student-led curation team or would like to submit your own work for these exhibits, please reach out to the Exhibits Coordinator, at exhibits@hollandarts.org. We look forward to seeing you on April 17th to celebrate the big impact of small art!
Tango 21
First Friday | April 17
Tango21: A Dance for Every Body
Step into an evening where connection takes the lead.
This First Friday, the Holland Area Arts Council invites you to experience the vibrant, expressive world of Argentine Tango with Tango21 Dance Theater, a Chicago-based company known for blending storytelling, music, and movement into something truly unforgettable.
Whether you’ve never danced a step or have years of experience, this is a space designed for you. Tango21 believes that showing up as your authentic self matters more than perfect technique, and that dance can be a powerful form of connection, creativity, and even healing.
The evening begins with an all-levels tango class from 6:00–7:00 PM, followed by a practica from 7:00–9:00 PM where you can continue dancing, practicing, or simply soaking in the atmosphere. A concurrent music workshop will also explore the rhythms and soul behind the dance.
This program is part of a new monthly series running April through August, bringing live performance, classes, and community-building to Holland. In partnership with Shannon Connell, Ph.D. of Tending to Your Brain, this initiative also highlights the neurological and physical benefits of tango, from improved coordination and balance to increased social connection and well-being.
Come curious. Come as you are.
No partner required, just a willingness to step into something new.
$20 per person
Location: Holland Area Arts Council
Let the music find you, and see where the dance takes you 💃

Tango21: A Dance for Every Body
Spend your Saturday afternoon moving, connecting, and discovering something new.
Join the Holland Area Arts Council and Tango21 Dance Theater for an inviting, all-levels Argentine Tango class designed for every body. Whether you’re stepping onto the dance floor for the first time or returning to a familiar rhythm, this workshop creates space for curiosity, creativity, and connection.
Led by artists from Chicago’s Tango21, this experience goes beyond learning steps. It’s about listening, responding, and finding a shared language through movement. No pressure, no perfection—just the simple, powerful act of dancing together.
This program is part of an ongoing monthly series bringing tango to Holland from April through August, rooted in both artistic expression and well-being. In partnership with Shannon Connell, Ph.D. of Tending to Your Brain, the series highlights the cognitive, physical, and social benefits of tango, including improved balance, coordination, and connection.
