MACC Grant Programs
The Michigan Arts and Culture Council (MACC) coordinates grants to arts and culture organizations, cities and municipalities, and other nonprofit organizations ensuring that every citizen and community in Michigan enjoys the civic, economic and educational benefits of arts and culture.
MACC will be announcing grant programs for fiscal year 2025 on May 1, 2024.
To prepare for the upcoming FY25 application cycle, organizations may start collecting the following required documentation:
Charitable Solicitation Registration from Michigan Attorney General
Proof of nonprofit status (such as a copy of IRS determination letter)
Proof the organization is a registered organization in the state of Michigan (such as a certificate from Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs)
(Optional but encouraged) Claim, update, and complete your organization’s Candid/Guidestar
Organizations intending to apply for FY25 MACC funding opportunities should ensure they are up-to-date on any reports/requirements from previous MACC awards.
Organizations that are current recipients of FY24 MACC funding are reminded to check Final Report deadlines which can be found in the organization's signed Grant Agreement(s) available in SmartSimple. If the personnel listed on any current grant records have changed (such as Project Director or Authorizing Official), please submit a Grant Change Form in SmartSimple to update
