CHILDREN'S VISUAL ARTS

CHILDREN (ages 3-12)

MAD HATTERS- parent (or grand parent) and child. (Ages 3-5)
4 wks • Wed. 10-11 AM • 1/20-2/24 • $56 ($45) You and your child (or grandchild) work together creating silly hats and fun memories. The last day we take your portraits in the hats as a keepsake. Register

CHILDREN (ages 5-12)

KIDS CAN COOK – Asian Delights (Ages 5-10) 新年快乐 ! happy new year!
Sat. 10:00 AM-12:00 PM • 2/6 • ($12) Learn to make spring rolls and yummy dipping sauces as we celebrate Asian culture. We eat what we make at lunchtime. You take the recipes home so you can make them again for the adults.Register

CLAY MATES CERAMICS (Ages 5-10)

SATURDAY SOMETHING TO DO- (ages 7-12)

FATHER DAUGHTER SWEETHEART DANCE (K-6th graders) Friday - 2/12 - 6pm-9pm - $40
She will not be little forever! Create a special memory for Dad and his little princess. Join us at the Arts Council for an elegant evening of music, dancing and refreshments. Includes dance instruction and photo keepsake. Grandfathers and uncles welcome. Register

HOLLAND CHORALE YOUTH CHORUS
Mrs. Jean Poppen. $45 per student; HAAC members and former and current Chorale Kids receive a 20% discount.
Rehearsals: Tuesdays, 4:30 -5:30 p.m., January 12 – February 23, 2010 (7 weeks)
Dress rehearsal: March 1, 2010
Performance: Tuesday, March 2, 2010
The Holland Chorale offers a youth chorus for children grades 2-7. The ensemble will learn healthy singing techniques, rehearsal and performance skills, and quality choral repertoire. To sing in the choir, students must have a recommendation from a school, church, or other music. Register

Class Information

MAKE-UP CLASSES
If a class is canceled by the Arts council, a make-up class will be scheduled. Generally, make-ups are held the week after the last scheduled class. If a student is unable to attend a class for any reason, a make-up is not available.

MATERIALS LISTS
Material lists are provided for some Adult Visual Art classes and workshops. Please keep your materials in returnable form in case of class cancellation.

AGE GUIDELINES
Please respect the recommended age guidelines for children’s classes. Adult classes are open to students 16 years and older. Exceptions must be approved by the instructor.

PHOTO PERMISSION
By registering for a class, you agree to allow the Arts Council to photograph you or your child for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed, please contact the Program Director at 616.396.3278.

WAITING LIST
A waiting list will be started once a class has reached maximum enrollment. Please do not wait until the last minute to register; classes fi ll quickly.

REFUNDS/WITHDRAWALS
To receive a full refund, student withdrawal must take place at least 5 business days prior to the start of the class. Withdrawals for a class credit must take place prior to the start of the second week of the class. A $10 processing fee will be retained for withdrawals.

CANCELLATIONS
Classes that do not meet minimum enrollment by the fi rst session may be canceled. If a class is canceled, you
may transfer to another class or request a full refund. Foul weather cancellations are based upon Holland Public School closings. Cancellations due to weather will always be posted on our website, www.hollandarts.org.

SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarships are available for students under 18 thanks to donations from members. Scholarship applications
are available at the front desk.

GIFT CERTIFICATES
Don’t know what to buy for that special someone? Gift certifi cates make the perfect gift and proceeds from
your purchase support Arts Council programs and operations. Gift certifi cates may be purchased in any
amount and applied toward course tuition fees or sales gallery purchases. Member discounts are not available
for gift certificate purchases.
