Development

The Holland Area Arts Council is a 501(c)3 non-profit institution with annual operating expenses of $391,000. Of this, a significant portion (40%) is generated through educational offerings; retail sales and building rental. The remaining sum is garnered through local fund raising initiatives and donations.

Please help maintain this wonderful community gift.

Leaving a Legacy

A bequest is a means of leaving a 'legacy' or gift to a charitable organization of your choosing. The amount-whether it is a percentage of your estate or a set dollar amount-must be specified in writing in either your will or living trust. It is important that your property and finances are documented in accordance with state law. Your attorney or financial advisor should be able to guide you in this process.

Endowment

The Holland Area Arts Council Endowment Fund will provide the resources necessary to continue bringing art into our community for years to come. A gift to the Fund will last many lifetimes because the contributions will be perpetually invested with dividends utilized to sustain operations. If you are interested in maximising your gift in this way, contact the Arts Council for more information.

Gift Certificates

Don't know what to buy for that special someone?

Gift Certificates make the perfect gift and the proceeds from your purchase support Arts Council programs and operations. Gift Certificates may be purchased in any amount and applied toward course fees or gallery purchases.

Other Opportunities to Contribute

Special Events

Each year (usually the first Saturday in June), the Arts Council holds an extravaganza to help raise critical dollars and introduce new friends to our organization. This May 30, 2009, we hosted "Monte Carlo Night" at the Macatawa Legends Golf Club for a night of food, music, art, travel and dancing.

Other events are held throughout the year to help raise funds for our programming.

We are always happy to accept items to auction at these events. For example, these are some of the items donated for the 2009 Monte Carlo Night auction.

Space Rental

Wheather you're planning a wedding reception, birthday party, business meeting, or recital, the Arts Council offers a unique venue at a nominal fee.
